 Sue Anderson

 

A veteran at LR since 1980, Sue's interest in writing for business began in a large advertising agency, after graduating from Mount Holyoke College with a BA in English language and literature. She continued that interest as a volunteer in grantsmanship for non-profit social service and art organizations. At LR, she has corresponded with employees from production, sales, and administration in such industries as pharmaceuticals, data processing, banking, and manufacturing.

 Wendi Corato

 

Wendi is a communications professional with more than ten years of corporate management experience. Prior to joining LR in 1991, she served as director of advertising and public relations for one of New Jersey's leading residential real estate companies and was the manager of corporate communications for Westinghouse Broadcasting Company in NYC. She studied English and journalism at New York University and considers herself a "life student" of the written word.

 Barbara Gross

 

A staff member with LR since 1980, Barbara received a BA in English from Wellesley College, an MAT from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and an Ed.D from Rutgers Graduate School of Education. She has over 12 years' experience teaching English at high school and college levels and has taught business communication at the college level. She has also acted as a consultant on college English texts for three textbook publishers.

 Susan Karr

 

Susan received her BA in English from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and her MBA in general management/finance from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. Before joining LR in 1989, she worked at a major computer firm and a bank holding company. In her spare time, she has served as an editor for a national computer networking magazine and a local newsletter.

 Liz Keill

 

Liz has been with LR since 1981. She received a BA in journalism from Penn State and an MA in advertising from Syracuse University. She has written international program brochures for Drew University, biographies for a reference volume on women's histories, and theater reviews for local newspapers. She also serves as associate editor for the Independent Press newspaper group.

 Ann Light

 

After graduating with a BS from Loyola University of the South, Ann worked for the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, writing and handling public relations. She is the original author and creator of "The Underground Shopper, " a series of 12 guides to bargain shopping in the U.S. She has written feature and consumer articles for the award-winning "Dallas" magazine and for Reader's Digest Press, and has hosted a daily talk show, "The Talk of Dallas." Ann has been with LR since 1986. 

 Pam Mansfield

 

With us since 1994, Pam holds a degree in psychology from Denison University. Before joining LR, Pam worked at Channel Thirteen, a PBS station where she wrote news releases, organized media coverage, and arranged for interviews.

 Douglas Max

 

Originally from New Jersey, Doug was educated in Missouri, earning his BA at Washington University and an MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of Missouri at St. Louis.

He stayed in Missouri for the next six years and developed an eclectic training background: he conducted a woodshop class for grammar school students, taught management science courses to undergraduate and graduate students, and became training manager for Angelica Corporation. In 1989, Doug returned to New Jersey to direct LR Communication Systems. He also teaches MBA students to communicate more effectively at Rutgers University as an Adjunct Professor.

 Judy McCarren

 

After graduating from Manhattanville College with a BA in English, Judy coordinated afterschool workshops and nature programs for children. She has written systems documentation manuals and workflow procedure manuals for a large insurance company and has also conducted technical writing training programs. Her love of writing led her to LR, where she has been a staff member since 1984.

 Rose Nelson

 

Rose has been with LR since 1978. She graduated from Mount Mary College with French and English majors. Her work history includes magazine and newsletter editing, programming for U.S. Service Clubs in Europe, and teaching. She has been an administrative assistant to the chairman of a family-owned business and assistant corporate secretary of a $50 million company.

 Anne Parker

 

Anne received a BA in American history from Connecticut College and did graduate work at Boston University before joining LR in 1984. She was a senior writer at Benchmark Publications, writing sales procedure manuals, training guides, and system "help" files. At Dictaphone and Varityper, she developed training guides for a word processor and also compiled user guides.

 Missy Small

 

After graduating from Syracuse University, Missy earned an MBA from Rutgers University. She worked in the marketing department at Winsor & Newton for eight years, where she helped develop strategic plans and worked with their advertising agency to create ad campaigns. She also wrote trade, consumer, and technical literature about the properties of art material. Missy has been with us since 1994.
